CBSE to Launch 3 New Subjects for Class 11th from 2020-21 Session

CBSE will commence Design Thinking, Artificial Intelligence, & Physical Activity Trainer as new subjects for class 11th from 2020-21 academic session, authorities asserted on Tuesday.
In order to make upcoming generation more imaginative, inventive and physically fit, and to move with the global advancements and requirements at the workplace, the board is introducing the three new subjects, said Biswajit Saha, Director Training and Skill Education, CBSE.
“Where thinking is a skill that all people have, the 21st century’s necessity is of critical thinking and problem-solving. Design Thinking is a structured method of thinking that opens up the horizons of creativity and empowers even the most conditioned thinkers to bring about new and innovative solutions to the current issues,” he said.
According to Saha, the course on Physical Activity Trainer won’t only help in enhancing skills of a trainer but also a life skill.
“Artificial Intelligence is additionally a simulation by machines of the unlimited thinking capacity of humans. Physical Activity is a must if the mind and body are to be kept healthy.
“Keeping this in mind, the course on Physical Activity Trainer has been prepared. It will not only help in growing the skill of a trainer but will also become a life skill as it will absorb the idea of keeping fit for life,” he continued.
