The Consortium of National Law Universities has decided to extend the last day of online application for Common Law Admission Test 2020, in light of the worldwide pandemic and the pan-India lockdown imposed for the last two months. They have also decided to postpone the exam dates for this year’s CLAT until further notification.
They made the announcement via a notice released on the official CLAT site. The online registration process for the entrance exam has been open since January 1, 2020, but now has been further extended till July 1. This is because students without a proper internet connection are facing problems while filling the online application form amid the nationwide lockdown.
The exam date of CLAT 2020 has also been deferred due to the extension of the online application process. The exam date has not been declared yet on the official site, though it is being assured to all the aspirants that they will get to know the date in due time.
Date to be announced 21 days before the examination
According to the official notification released on the official website of CLAT, the exam date, and the application process is being pushed due to the coronavirus pandemic and the restrictions implemented by the government when it comes to preventing mass gatherings.
The students are also suggested to keep a check on the official site of CLAT for any latest updates or information about the entrance exam. If students have any queries, they can reach the exam official via email or a helpline number.
