Delhi University, DU has recently issued an official notification informing that the 1st, 2nd-year students would be promoted by the university sans exam. The notice also says that all those students who have failed or were absent in any of the examinations would have to clear them in the coming semester or next year. Students would also be given a chance to improve their scores.
These examinations conducted would be called improvement exams which would give an opportunity to the candidates to enhance their scores of the previous semesters. This year due to Covid-19 the students have been decided to be promoted to the next semesters according to their internal assessment and earlier performances. Check out the notice issued by DU here
The notification also states, “For students admitted in the yearly mode of study, the notification issued on 04.06.2020 for students registered with SOL and NCWEB shall be applicable in the case of students belonging to the yearly mode of assessment.”
This is one of its kind decision taken by the varsity. Those candidates who are not satisfied with their internal scores and their previous performances can reappear for the examination in the coming semester. Though, this is only applicable to the present situation and the semester. The candidates would not be getting any such chance in the coming semesters or when the situation of the pandemic disappears.
