Entrance Examinations Including JNU, UGC NET, NEET, Ph.D., TTE Postponed

Keeping in mind the ongoing lockdown the HRD Ministry has decided to delay entrance exams including JNU, UGC, NET and IGNOU Ph.D. and various others.
HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said: "The Director-General of National Testing Agency has been suggested to postpone the last date for submission of applications for several exams".
The Union Minister told: "This incorporates entrance exams of Jawaharlal Nehru University UGC NET, IGNOU Ph.D., ICAR exam, NCHM-G and management course." The last date for all these exams has been extended by 1 month.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development has also ordered the CBSE, NIOS, and NTA to prepare a new schedule of exams. Along with this, autonomous organizations and the NCERT have been told to prepare an alternative academic calendar.
The Ministry has taken this initiative so that all students can apply for these exams with ease and accessibility.
In light of the risk of Coronavirus infection, the central government has also decided to defer the NEET exam. Admission card was to be released for the NEET exams but has not been issued. So now, the Ministry has published a notice to defer the exams.
"After the complete lockdown is imposed, it is not possible to conduct this type of exam," remarked a senior official.
The JEE Main exams have also been postponed.
IGNOU has extended the last date for submission of the form for TEE (term-end examination) to be conducted on April 30, 2020, without any late fee. The TEE examination forms for June can be submitted on the official website of IGNOU. The deadline for submission of assignments has also been extended to April 30.
