Official notification 2020 to be released next week for NTA NEET UG programs

National Testing Agency is about to issue an official notice for NEET for undergraduate programs next week. NEET UG 2020 exam will be held in May 2020. The application procedure for NEET UG 2020 will begin from next week.
As per the exam calendar issued by NTA, the NEET UG 2020 exam application process will commence on Dec. 2, 2019, and end on Dec. 31, 2019. Interested applicants can apply for the NEET UG 2020 from the official site - ntaneet.nic.in.
NEET UG Exam details:
The hall ticket for the NEET UG exam will be delivered on March 27. The exam is programmed for May 3, 2020. The result for NEET-UG 2020 exam will be issued almost a month after the examination, on June 4, 2020.
NEET UG 2020 exam will be OMR-based. The scores in NEET-UG 2020 will be converted into a percentile score.
NEET UG 2019 notice answers, "In order to be eligible for admission to MBBS/BDS Programs for a specific academic year, it shall be mandatory for a competitor to achieve a minimum of marks at 50th percentile in National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test to MBBS/BDS Courses conducted for the said academic year."
Meantime, from the academic year 2020, NEET has become compulsory for admission to MBBS/BDS programs in all medical institutes/ colleges including AIIMS and JIPMER.
Earlier, AIIMS and JIPMER conducted a separate entrance examination for admission to MBBS and BDS programs but both the examinations will be suspended after National Medical Commission Act, comes into force from the coming academic year (2020).
The National Medical Commission Act, 2019 gives for common national entrance test - NEET- along with common counseling for MBBS, and a common final year MBBS exam which will be applicable to all institutes including those of national importance such as AIIMS.
